HAMPTON, Va. – Hampton University’s defense forced four turnovers on Saturday, as they held the Rattlers of Florida A&M to just 184 yards of total offense, while the Pirates offense, led by Steve Robinson, finished the day with 464 yards of total offense and 341 yards rushing on the day as Hampton left Armstrong Stadium with a 25-0 win.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Jordan Stovall nailed a 30-yard field goal with less than eight seconds remaining in regulation to send the game to overtime as the Pirates scored 10 unanswered points in the last 5:23 of the game to tie it up 10-10. Steve Robinson cashed in from 11 yards out to give the Pirates a 16-13 overtime win over Winston-Salem State during the Rams’ Homecoming at Bowman Gray Stadium.

HAMPTON, Va. – The Pirates defense, led by junior linebacker Julio Sanchez, held the Bulldogs and All-American running back Will Ford to just 64 yards rushing on Saturday. Despite the efforts of the Pirates defense, South Carolina State came out on top 21-9 in a dogfight at Armstrong Stadium.

HAMPTON, Va. – The Pirates of Hampton University (3-3, 2-2 MEAC) will welcome all fans, alumni, friends, and family to Armstrong Stadium for Homecoming on Saturday, as they look to rebound after a tough loss to Norfolk State University last week. The Pirates will play host to the 2008 MEAC Champion Bulldogs of South Carolina State University, who come into the game sporting a 5-1 overall record and a perfect 3-0 mark in conference play.
