PIRATES BLANK RATTLERS TO SPOIL TAYLOR’S HOMECOMING

HAMPTON, Va. – Hampton University’s defense forced four turnovers on Saturday, as they held the Rattlers of Florida A&M to just 184 yards of total offense, while the Pirates offense, led by Steve Robinson, finished the day with 464 yards of total offense and 341 yards rushing on the day as Hampton left Armstrong Stadium with a 25-0 win.

PIRATES LOSE TOUGH 27-24 DECISION TO BETHUNE-COOKMAN
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Pirates defense forced two fumbles and a turnover on downs in the final period of the game on Saturday, but the offense could not convert as Bethune-Cookman squeaked out a 27-24 win at Municipal Stadium.

PIRATES PULL OUT BIG 16-13 WIN OVER RAMS IN OVERTIME
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Jordan Stovall nailed a 30-yard field goal with less than eight seconds remaining in regulation to send the game to overtime as the Pirates scored 10 unanswered points in the last 5:23 of the game to tie it up 10-10. Steve Robinson cashed in from 11 yards out to give the Pirates a 16-13 overtime win over Winston-Salem State during the Rams’ Homecoming at Bowman Gray Stadium.
