Complete 2009-2010 Bowling Schedule
HAMPTON, Va. – Hampton University women’s bowling coach Michael Williams announced on Wednesday the release of the team’s 2009-2010 schedule, a slate that features three conference meets and nine other events.
The Lady Pirates will open the season on Oct. 24 and 25 in the Deep South Open in Winston-Salem, N.C., hosted by Winston-Salem State and North Carolina A&T. From there, Hampton will travel to Kill Devil Hills, N.C. Oct. 30-Nov. 1 for Scream Night, an event hosted by Elizabeth City State.
The first conference match of the season will take place Nov. 7-8 in Hampton, as the Lady Pirates host a MEAC North meet. Delaware State will host another one in Dover, Del. On Nov. 14-15, before the Lady Pirates travel to Millsboro, Del. on Nov. 20-22 for the Eastern Shore Hawk Classic, hosted by the University of Maryland-Eastern Shore.
Another MEAC North meet, hosted by Coppin State in Baltimore, Md. on Dec. 5-6, will round out the 2009 portion of the schedule.
The Lady Pirates will kick off 2010 in Staten Island, N.Y. on Jan. 15-17 by taking part in the Terriers New Year Knockdown hosted by St. Francis College. They will then head to Laurel, Md. on Jan. 23-24 for the Lady Bulldog Classic hosted by Bowie State, before heading to Reading, Pa. on Jan. 29-31 for Kutztown’s Golden Bear Invitational.
Hampton will return to Dover, Del. on Feb. 6-7 for Delaware State’s Capital Classic, before heading back to Baltimore on Feb. 20-21 for the Morgan State Invitational. The Lady Pirates will close out the 2009-2010 regular season March 12-14 in Smyrna, Tenn. at Vanderbilt’s Music City Classic.
The 2010 MEAC Bowling Championships will be held March 19-21 in Greensboro, N.C.
