SMYRNA, De. – With five runners finishing in the top 14 on Friday, the Hampton University men's cross country team totaled 35 points to capture the Delaware State University Alumni 8k run.
Emmanuel Too ran his second fastest 8k of the year to capture the individual title covering the course in 25:14.5.  Joining him in the top 10 were
Geoffrey McCullough in sixth with a time of 28:04.9 and Tayvon Burris in 28:46.4.
Rounding out the scoring runners was Coby Price in 11
th with a time of 28:54.3 and
Stanley Davis in 14
th in a time of 29:17.2
Howard was second in the team race with 47 points, followed by Delaware State (66), Wesley (73) and Maryland Eastern Shore (137).
Hampton will next compete on October 28 at the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference championships back in Smyrna.
