GREENVILLE, NC – The Hampton University men's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision on Saturday to Longwood University in a match held at East Carolina's Indoor Tennis Facility in Greenville, NC.
Peter Odegbami and
Fedor Shirin took a win at line one doubles defeating Raisei Sakai and Daniel Hernandez 6-2. Longwood won at lines two and three to take the doubles point.
In singles,
Matthew Foster-Estwick fell in a tough three-set match at line one singles to Amadeo Blasco 7-5, 2-6, 6-4.Â
Charles Hudson and Shirin each lost a third-set tie-breaker at lines five and six singles for Hampton's best shots at points in singles.
Hampton is now off until March 4 when they start a week of matches in the Orlando, Florida region.
