GREENVILLE, NC – The Hampton University men's tennis team opened its spring 2018 schedule on Friday afternoon falling 6-1 to East Carolina University.
After losing the doubles point, Hampton scored its lone team point at the top line of singles as
Matthew Foster-Estwick took a straight set victory over Freddie McGeehan 7-6 (7-3), 6-4.
Fedor Shirin pushed Kasey Countee at line five singles but fell 6-1, 6-4.
Hampton returns to action on Saturday at noon against Longwood in a neutral-site match in Greenville.
