RADFORD, Va. -- Hampton visited future Big South opponent Radford on Saturday and fell in a 4-2 matchup at the Radford University Tennis Courts.
Hampton won the doubles point with wins at lines one and three.
Matthew Foster-Estwick and
Davy Van Geerke knocked off Carlos Sala and Matko Varga 6-1 at line one, while
Peter Odegbami and
Luke Thompson clinched the point at line three with a 6-4 win over Michiel Meekers and Robin Calais.
In singles, Radford scored wins at lines four, six, two and three to take the match. Hampton won at line one with Foster-Estwick scoring a three-set win over Varga 3-6, 6-1, 1-0 (11-9).
Hampton returns to action on Sunday at noon facing Coppin State at home.
