Box Score VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – Hampton University men's tennis team hosted its last home match of the season on Sunday and blanked Coppin State 5-0 in a match moved inside at Virginia Beach Tennis & Country Club due to threats of rain.

In doubles, Hampton took three convincing wins 6-1 at line one, 6-1 at line two and 6-0 at line three to take the team point.

The Pirates won the first four matches in singles to lock up the dual victory.  Matthew Foster-Estwick won 6-4, 6-2 at line one, Fernando Fernandes won 6-3, 6-2 at line two, Charles Hudson won 6-3, 6-3 at line three while Fedor Shirin won 6-3, 6-1 at line four.

Hampton will return to action on Tuesday afternoon at Mt. St. Mary's (MD) for a 3pm match.
