Aggies defeat Hampton in conference opener

Orangeburg, S.C.-In their first conference match of the season, the Lady Pirates fell 3-0 to North Carolina A&T in opening day action of the MEAC Round-Up on Friday (27-30, 21-30, 19-31). With the loss Hampton’s record falls to 5-11 (0-1 MEAC) on the season while the Aggies improve to 9-7 (1-1 MEAC).
Sophomore middle hitter Ese Igehdosa (Kansas City, Mo. / Center Senior HS) led the charge for the Lady Pirates with a match-high nine kills and two blocks. Fellow sophomore hitter Morgan Williams (Duncanville, Texas/ Duncanville HS) added eight kills and six digs on defense.
The Lady Aggies were led by Avignon Williams who registered a team-high six kills.
The Lady Pirates return to the net on Oct.14 for continued MEAC Round-Up action.
