Jeremiah Schwartz and sophomore outside hitter
Krista Kraskura were named HU Athletes of the Week for their respective performances this past week.
Schwartz (Orlando, Fla.) recorded his fourth 100-yard rushing game of the season this past Thursday at North Carolina Central, carrying the ball 20 times for 129 yards. He also scored two touchdowns in the loss to the Eagles.
He averaged 6.5 yards per carry at NCCU and is currently second in the MEAC in rushing.
Kraskura (Kuldiga, Latvia) recorded double-digit kills in both matches against Norfolk State this past weekend; in Friday's match in Echols Hall, she had 12 kills and a team-high 17 digs for her 11th double-double of the season, while also hitting .296.
She added 11 kills on Sunday against the Spartans, and for the weekend, she had 23 kills and hit .259 for the weekend.
