NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Six Hampton University student-athletes were named Academic All-State by the Virginia Sports Information Director (VaSID) on Wednesday.
The six Hampton honorees are:
William Nacouzi (football, psychology)
Stefano Nardini (men's track & field, 5-year MBA)
Shine Huwe (softball, psychology)
Petra Parros (volleyball, business administration)
Tabita Daolio (women's tennis, architecture)
Rebecca Glazier (bowling, criminal justice)
To be named, a student-athlete had to have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 and be at least a sophomore in eligibility. Each school was allowed up to six nominees. In all, 156 student-athletes from 26 schools in the commonwealth of Virginia were named Academic All-State.
