COLUMBIA, S.C. - The Hampton University track and field team traveled down to South Carolina this weekend to compete in the South Carolina Invitational.

Dugion Blackman took home both first place in the men's 800-meter and a new personal-best time, finishing with a time of 1:52.22.

Victoria Caldwell finished first in both women's shotput and women's weight throw. She also recorded a personal best in both events with personal-best marks of 14.04 meters and 16.35 meters respectively.

Jordan Mozie took fourth place in the women's 800-meter dash, crossing the finish line with a time of 2:14.50.

Both the men's and women's 4x400 relay teams placed top five in their respective events. The men's team, featuring Blackman, Noah Langford, Josiah Hill and Jeremiah Hill finished fourth place with a time of 3:13.00. The women's squad, featuring Mozie, Dejah Grant, Amira Aduma, Kyna Robinson placed third with a time of 3:45.36.

Track and Field is back in action February 4-5 at the Dr. Sander Invitational Columbia Challenge held in New York, New York.
