HAMPTON, VA- Hampton University Department of Athletic's Dr. Paula Jackson title changes to Chief of Staff/Deputy Athletic Director heading into the 2022-23 academic year.

Dr. Jackson is entering her ninth year at Hampton, where she previously served as the Pirates Senior Women Administrator and will maintain that role. 

She has assisted the department in filling roles to build up the Hampton University Athletics staff and will continue to oversee staffing needs and management as Chief of Staff. 

Dr. Jackson has many years of service and experience in collegiate athletics, with stops at Alabama State, Lincoln, Mississippi Valley State, Savannah State, Morehead, and Clark Atlanta.

The Baton Rouge, Louisiana native has continuously taken opportunities to develop the collegiate athletic experience through serving on various committees throughout collegiate athletics and sports. 

The Pirates look forward to her being instrumental in building leaders and champions as Hampton looks to continue evolving the standard of excellence in academics and athletics.
