The men's tennis team at Hampton posted a 7-0 victory at Chowan on April 19 to close out the 2023 regular-season with a 10-8 record. It marked the first winning season for the Pirates since the 2009-10 campaign.

Coach Ana Popovic's Pirates rallied to post a perfect 4-0 record in the month of April with road wins against St. Francis (N.Y.) (4-2), at Wagner (7-0), at Norfolk State (7-0) and at Chowan (7-0) to finish above the .500 mark. The Pirates showed marked improvement over a year ago when the Pirates finished with a 6-14 mark.

Hampton takes on Monmouth in the opening round of the CAA Championships on Thursday, April 27 at William & Mary in Williamsburg.
