Hampton's Dy-Jae Pearson was named second-team All-Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) by the league's coaches, it was announced. The graduate student, scored four goals with nine shots on the season. Pearson tallied two goals with three shots on goal against Monmouth on April 8, 2023. He had 57 ground balls and 37 caused turnovers for the Pirates. Pearson, who plays defense, started all 14 games for Hampton this season.
The 6-0, 195-pound Pearson played scholastically at Frederick Douglas Academy in New York for four seasons before attending Blair Academy as a post-graduate student. He attended Bryant where he played for four seasons before coming to Hampton for his fifth season. He scored 12 goals during his time at Bryant and played in the USILA Senior All-Star Game.
