Hampton Sailing Releases Fall Schedule for 2024 Season

HAMPTON, Va. (Aug. 5, 2024) … After a successful 2023-24 campaign, Coach Alessandro Ambrosi has announced the Fall 2024 schedule. The Pirates won five regattas last season and produced six top-five finishes. Four of the seven student-athletes from the 2023-24 roster return with four new additions to the team.

The Pirates begin the season at Old Dominion on Sept. 7-8 at the Riley Cup. This will be Hampton's first time competing at the Riley Cup since the 2022-23 campaign. Next week HU returns to action at the Kingsmill Cup hosted by William & Mary (Sept. 14-15.) Last season Coach Amrosi's side had success at the regatta in Williamsburg, Va. placing first in the eight-team field. Hampton wraps up the first month of the season in Charleston, S.C. at the CDC Fall Cup (Sept. 28-29).

On Oct. 5-6, the Pirates are set to compete in the Jefferson Cup hosted by Virginia. Before the conference championship, Hampton will be at the Luce Trophy (Oct. 19-20). HU had a superb showing at last season's regatta claiming first place.

This year's War Memorial MAISA Conference Championship will take place in St. Mary's City, Md.
