
Mutisya Named CAA Runner of the Week

RICHMOND, Va. (September 3, 2024) – The Coastal Athletic Association announced this morning that Hampton's cross country athlete Peninah Mutisya, has been named the Women's Runner of the Week.
The Kitui, Kenya freshman placed second at the Spider Alumni Open in her first collegiate cross country race. She ran the 4K race with a time of 13:35.2.
This is the highest individual finish by a Hampton cross country athlete since 2018, when Eusila Chepkemei won the HBCU Challenge with a 5K time of 17:27.30.
