RICHMOND, Va. (Sept. 4, 2024) … Less than two months from the start of the 2024-25 campaign, the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) has released the upcoming conference schedule.
Coach Ivan Thomas's team opens conference play on Dec. 3 against North Carolina A&T inside the Convocation Center. Since both programs have joined the CAA, the matchup has been decided by one possession in the last three settings. Heading into the new year, the Pirates hit the road facing Charleston (Jan. 2) and Elon (Jan. 4).
Then Hampton will have a three-game home stint beginning with Campbell on Jan. 9. HU split the regular season series with the Camels a year ago. The Pirates close out its first conference home stint against Delaware (Jan. 11) and William & Mary (Jan. 16). Hampton hits the road following the home stanza facing the Aggies on Jan. 20 followed by William & Mary (Jan. 23) and UNCW (Jan. 25). Coach Thomas's side ends the month January at home against Northeastern (Jan 30).
The Pirates begin the month of February away from the Convocation Center facing Monmouth on Feb. 6. Next, Hampton heads north facing the Huskies of Northeastern (Feb. 8). Prior to joining the CAA HU had never faced the Huskies. Hampton then returns home for four consecutive contests beginning with Drexel on Feb. 13. The Pirates then face Hofstra (Feb. 15) and Stony Brook (Feb. 20) for the first time of the 2024-25 campaign.
Hampton's final home contest is against the UNCW Seahawks on Feb. 22. In the final weekend of the season, the Pirates are on the road facing Drexel (Feb. 27) and Towson (March 1).
The CAA Tournament will be March 7-11 at the Entertainment and Sports Arena in Washington, D.C.
