NEW LONDON, Conn. (Oct. 6, 2025) … The Hampton University sailing team wrapped up competition in the Open Atlantic Coast Championship Round 1 Sunday evening. The Pirates put together a team score of 234 points, placing 18th. 

The A division was led by skipper Tyler Brown, while Chloe Anderson and Kiara-Lee Wright rounded out the squad. In the second race, Brown and Anderson ripped off a second place finish, best of any race on the weekend. The B division was led by skipper Ivet Bejar, Lee-Wrigth and Anderson.
