MURFRESSBORO, N.C. (Mar. 1, 2026) … Hampton women's tennis defeated Chowan 6-1 on Sunday to earn their first win of the season. 

The Pirates won all three doubles matches, sweeping the Hawks with final scores of 6-1, 6-1, and 6-0. Toffee Ghorab recorded the first point in singles as she defeated her opponent 6-2, 6-0. 

Chelsea Chakanyuka (6-2, 6-0) and Tanya Midzi (6-1, 6-3) then each defeated their opponents in straight to help Hampton clinch the match.
