HAMPTON, Va. (Mar. 19, 2026) … Hampton's women's tennis team picked up their sixth straight win Thursday morning, taking down Virginia Wesleyan 6-1. 

The Pirates took the early lead in the match, winning all three doubles matches to earn the point. Tanya Midzi and Toffee Ghorab started the winning spree taking down their opponents in the one spot 6-1, followed by Samira Khazieva and Chelsea Chakanyuka defeated their opponents 6-0. Serena Bryan and Melis Sakiroglu won 6-4. 

In singles, it was Bryan (6-4, 6-2), Midzi (6-0, 6-0), Chakanyuka (6-0, 6-2), Khazieva (6-1, 6-2), and Sakiroglu (6-2, 6-1) all winning their matches in straight sets. 

The six consecutive wins from Hampton matches the most in a row since the 2023-24 season.
