HAMPTON, Va. (Apr. 2, 2026) … The Hampton University women's tennis team dropped a 4-1 non-conference match with visiting East Carolina Thursday afternoon. 

East Carolina earned the first point of the afternoon in doubles as they took down Hampton in the two and three spots 6-1. 

In singles, the visiting Pirates earned wins at the one, three, and four spots to clinch the match, but it was Serena Bryan earning a win at the two spot for Hampton 6-2, 6-3. Samira Khazieva was leading her match at the five spot 2-1 before it was deemed unfinished due to East Carolina clinching the match.
