HAMPTON, Va. (May 6, 2026) … Third-year head coach Ivan Thomas has announced the addition of eight transfers ahead of the 2026-27 season. The Pirates return five players from a season ago, while adding four freshman to complete their 2026-27 roster.
#0 Tyler Jackson | 6-0 | So. | Baltimore, Md. | Eastern Kentucky
Jackson played in 19 games, starting nine in his first season at Eastern Kentucky. He averaged 8.6 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 1.0 assists per game, scoring a career-high 19 points in the A-SUN Tournament against Austin Peay. He was rated a four-star point guard by ESPN, Rivals, and 247Sports in high school, as he was the No. 76 overall prospect.
#1 Aaron Davis III | 6-7 | Sr. | Bay Shore, N.Y. | Bryant
He averaged 9.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.0 steals per game as a junior at Bryant. He finished the year 58-160 from behind the arc, averaging 1.9 made per game. Davis III scored in double-figures 15 times, while adding two 20-point performances. In his three seasons with Bryant, he averaged 7.3 points and 2.5 rebounds per game, draining 69 career threes.
#2 Adam Njie | 6-3 | So. | Bronx, NY. | Iona/Dayton
Njie averaged 12.4 points, 4.2 assists, and 2.9 rebounds per game as a freshman at Iona in the 2024-25 season before sitting out last season at Dayton. He was named to the MAAC All-Rookie Team, while earning rookie of the week honors twice. He scored in double-figures 22 times, scoring a career high 26 against Canisius. Njie was a three-star recruit in high school, having originally committed to Washington State before flipping to Iona. He held offers from Seton Hall, Miami, Mississippi State, and Arizona State among others.
#3 Jayme Mitchell III | 6-5 | R-Sr. | Jackson, Miss. | Alabama St/Jackson St.
Mitchell III brings a boatload of experience to the Pirates ahead of the 2026-27 season. He appeared in 33 games while starting 32 last season at Jackson State, where he recorded 14.4 points and 4.9 rebounds per game. He scored 16 points, draining three three pointers against Hampton in the Chris Paul HBCU Classic on Dec. 12. Mitchell III poured in 24 points at Auburn on Nov. 19 and 20 at Louisville on Nov. 6. In his career, he is a 35.0 percent three-point shooter on 406 attempts, and has scored 923 career points.
#7 Peter Da Cruz | 6-9 | So. | Long Branch, NJ | Connor State College
Da Cruz is an athletic forward who comes to Hampton after spending one season at Connor State College. He appeared in 25 games, while starting 20, where he average 11.6 points, 9.2 rebounds, and 2.0 blocks per game. In the month of February he recorded back-to-back 20 points double-doubles, with his career high of 27 coming against Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College. He blocked two shots or more in eight consecutive games, while swatting five twice. On Feb. 23 he hauled in a career-high 19 rebounds.
#8 Max Frazier | 6-9 | Sr. | Pittsboro, N.C. | Siena/Central Connecticut State
He averaged 12.0 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 1.7 blocks per game last season at Central Connecticut State. Frazier earned Third-Team All Conference, while also being selected to the All-Defensive Team after his junior season. His 1.7 blocks per game ranked 44th in the nation, as he recorded 16 multi-block games with his career-high of five coming at Seton Hall on Dec. 3. He appeared and started in 30 games while averaging 28.1 minutes per game.
#12 Seth Hubbard | 6-4 | R-Sr. | Jonesboro, Ga. | Western Michigan/Toledo/Milwaukee
Hubbard appeared and started in nine games at Milwaukee last season before his season was cut short due to injury. On opening night, he scored a season-high 23 points against Hampton, draining four three-pointers. In his nine games, he scored 15 points or more in seven, averaging 16.6 points per game. He averaged 30.8 minutes per game, while shooting 44.7 percent from the floor and 35.9 percent from behind the arc. He has scored over 1,000 points in his career. Prior to Milwaukee he averaged 14.1 points per game as a sophomore at Western Michigan.
#23 Cornelius Robinson III | 6-7 | Sr. | Willingboro, NJ | Monmouth
Three-year team member at CAA foe Monmouth, Robinson III where he averaged 8.0 points and 3.9 rebounds per game as junior. He appeared in 33 games, starting 21 on the season, where he recorded a season-high, nine rebounds at Hampton on Jan. 22. Monmouth finished as the runner-up in the CAA championship game this season. Robinson III scored in double-figures 14 times, with his season-high of 20 coming at Drexel on Feb. 12.
