LEXINGTON, Ky. (May 29, 2026) ... The Hampton University men's track and field team had one participant on Friday afternoon at the NCAA East Regionals held at the University of Kentucky in sophomore Delano Lawrence throwing the discus.

Lawrence, who broke the school record in the event several times this spring, finished his three tosses with a best mark of 55.65m (182-7) to finish sixth in his flight and 17th overall in the event.

Hampton will have one last competitor going on Saturday afternoon as Rochele Solmon will throw in the discus starting at 1 p.m.
