Trinese Fox

Trinese Fox joined the Hampton staff in August of 2025 as an assistant coach.

She is also no stranger to success. Fox played a prominent role in the success of recent Norfolk State basketball. In two terms of two seasons each, she helped lead the Spartans to a combined 91-37 record and a berth in the WNIT. Fox spent the 2022-23 campaign at East Tennessee State where the Bucs posted a 25-10 mark and earned a post season bid to the WBI Tournament.

Fox has served as an assistant coach dating back to 2020 in the Boo Williams Summer League in Hampton.

She spent one year as an assistant coach at Claflin during the 2018-19 season. She helped lead the Lady Panthers to a 15-11 mark and aided in the development of CIAA All-Rookie guard Dashia Jackson and CIAA Defensive Player of the Year Ashley Fields.

She spent two years as an assistant coach at the collegiate level in the 757 area at Christopher Newport. Fox helped lead the team to the 2017 NCAA Final Four as well as a Sweet 16 appearance in 2018. The Captains won the Capital Athletic Conference regular season and tournament championships during her first year in 2016-17. Altogether, the program went 54-8 during her two years there, 32-4 in the league.

Fox began her coaching career during the 2013-14 season at Lenoir Community College as an assistant coach. She was then an assistant coach for the varsity girls team at her high school alma mater Nansemond River High in nearby Suffolk for two years from 2014-16 as the Warriors won a pair of conference championships.

A four-year member of the South Carolina State basketball team, Fox earned third-team All-MEAC honors as a senior in 2012-13. She helped the Bulldogs finish in fourth place in the league that year as part of a 20-win season. She was also a member of the MEAC All-Academic team. Fox received a bachelor's degree in sport management in 2013 from South Carolina State.
