CHAPEL HILL, NC – The Hampton Lady Pirates softball team ventured to North Carolina on Wednesday to face the Tar Heels and fell 5-0 on a blustery afternoon.
Ashley Grassini accounted for two of Hampton's four hits going 2-for-3 on the day with a pair of doubles.
Lorena Alvarez and DeSha Hill had one hit apiece.
Allyson Babinsack took the loss throwing seven innings and allowing five hits, while striking out and walking two.
Hampton returns to action on Friday at 1pm hosting the Pirates Classic as they face Rutgers. They'll also face North Dakota approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of the Rutgers game.
