HAMPTON, Va.- The Hampton University men's tennis team suffered a loss to Norfolk State falling 4-3 on Monday at Neilson-Screen Stadium in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Northern Division matchup.

Norfolk State drove home the win, winning all three double matches to take the team point 7-6(7-2), 6-0, 6-4.

In singles, the Hampton Pirates took wins with Juan Araoz defeating Andres Alcaraz 6-0, 6-0 at line #1. Matthew Foster-Estwick rallying to defeat Vini Da Silva 4-6, 6-2, 6-4 at line # 2 and Charles Hudson knocking off Flavian Fernandez 6-3, 6-3 at line #4.

Hampton (4-9) returns to action for the MEAC Championship, taking place at Old Dominion University starting on Thursday, April 20. The Pirates match time will be announced early next week.
