GREENVILLE, N.C. – The Hampton Lady Pirates cross country team took 12th place on Friday at the East Carolina Invitational.
Freshman Alexia Phifer was the top finisher for Hampton coming in 70th in 23:29.69 over the 6k course. Senior Asia Johnson was 98th in 25:06.54, sophomore Zuri Rashad was 106th in 25:41.86, junior DeVonya Brown was 113th in 26:37.42, sophomore Shakeria Johnson was 115th in 27:03.12 and sophomore Gabrielle Chenault was 126th in 29:45.86.
Hampton will close its season on Nov. 2 in the Big South Conference meet hosted by Campbell University.
