
LADY PIRATES TAKE THIRD AT UMES SHORE INVITATIONAL

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. – The Hampton women's cross country team took third place on Saturday morning at the Shore Invitational hosted by the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.
Jordan Mozie topped Hampton in the 5k course with a third place finish in 20:19.40. Zuri Rashad joined her in the top ten finishing ninth in 21:16.50. Javon Watts was 20th for Hampton (22:15.30), while Morgan Williams was 21st (22:17.10) and Shakeria Johnson was 23rd (22:42.10) to round out the scoring placers for Hampton.
Howard won the meet with 34 points, followed by Coppin State (56) and Hampton (76) out of six teams.
They will run again on October 15 at the East Carolina Pirate Invitational.
