MECHANICSVILLE, Va. (Oct. 27, 2023) – The men's and women's cross country teams competed at the CAA Championship this morning at Pole Green Park in Mechanicsville, Va.
The Hampton men grabbed 13th in the 8k with 346 points. The Stony Brook Seawolves took first place in the race with a total of 36 points. Northeastern and William & Mary completed the race in 2nd and 3rd respectively (49pts, 77pts).
Two freshmen crossed the finish line first for the Pirates.
Leo Davis in 82nd place (28:53.20) and
Khalid Hamid in 89th (29:21.10). Up next, was junior
Rushshane Fullerton in 93rd (31:19.30). Sophomores
Tyson Satterwhite and Korede Otusaio rounded out the top five in 94th and 95th (33:47.90, 35:03.00).
In the women's 6k, the Lady Pirates finished in 13th place with a total of 348 points. Elon placed 1st with 36 points and was followed by Stony Brook (55pts) and Northeastern (78pts).

Jordan Mozie and senior
Kayla Spencer were the first two Lady Pirates to finish the race in 55th and 71st (23:14.20, 23:49.30). Sophomore
Mekayla Wilson grabbed 102nd (25:37.70) and right behind her was
Dejah Grant in 81st (26:07.20). Freshman
Angel Moultrie rounded out the top five for Hampton in 105th (26:43.00), while
Arriah Gilmer placed in 106th (26:51.10).
