HAMPTON, Va. (September 6, 2024) – The Pirates cross country teams will be traveling up to Annapolis, Md. to compete at the Cantello XC Invitational tomorrow morning.
The women's 6k starts at 10:00 a.m. and the men's 4.9 mile race will follow at 10:30 a.m.

Kylee King,
Chloe Maignan, and
Mekayla Wilson will battle for the Lady Pirates.
Khalid Hamid is the only one racing on the men's side.
Last Week's Meet
Freshman
Peninah Mutisya placed second at the Spider Alumni Open in her first collegiate cross country race. She ran the 4K race with a time of 13:35.2.
This is the highest individual finish by a Hampton cross country athlete since 2018, when
Eusila Chepkemei won the HBCU Challenge with a 5K time of 17:27.30.
Senior
Jordan Mozie cross the finish line second for the Lady Pirates in 32nd (14:54.3). Freshman
Kylee King crossed the finish line in 68th (15:28.4), followed by senior teammate
Kayla Spencer in 82nd place (15:53.3).
Mekayla Wilson was the last Lady Pirate to score in 93rd place (16:07.5).
The Lady Pirates finished the Spider Alumni Open in eighth overall, with 202 points.
