
Hampton University Women’s Triathlon Place Fifth at Patriot’s Triathlon

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (Sept. 8, 2024) … This morning, the Lady Pirates competed in the Patriot's Triathlon. Hampton placed fifth beating St. Thomas Aquinas by nine points. The field consisted of 31 student-athletes from six different institutions.
Coach Dr. Jodi Jensen's squad had two Lady Pirates place inside the top 20. Niya Buckner had the best finish for the Lady Pirates once again placing 19th. Buckner, a native of Houston, Texas, finished the event with a time of 1:38:46. Jordyn Bryant was close behind Buckner finishing less than one minute behind. Bryant placed 20th with a time of 1:39:08. Sophomore Michelle Morgan cracked the top 25 running a time of 1:52:10 and finished in 24th place. Dymonasia Williams and Angel Moultrie wrapped up the list of competitors for the Lady Pirates
Hampton returns to action on Sunday, Sept. 15 at the Lake Davidson Sprint Triathlon. The Race is set to begin at 8:00 a.m.
