LEXINGTON, Va. (Feb. 18, 2025) … Reed Shaw scored two goals, while AJ Knox and Darius Stanley scored a goal each for Hampton on Tuesday night as they fell 28-4 to VMI in men's lacrosse action.

Stanley got the Pirates on the board at the 9:27 mark of the second quarter off a feed by Elijah Jean-Jacques to trail 10-1.

Hampton couldn't get on the board again until the last four minutes of the match when they scored the final three goals. Shaw tallied an unassisted goal at 3:53, then Knox put one in off a feed by Sebastien West with 2:55 left and Shaw found the back of the net from a West pass with 13 seconds remaining.

VMI (3-1) was topped by Austin English and Luke Rusterucci with seven goals each.

Hampton (0-3) now heads to Jacksonville for a noon matchup on Saturday.
