HAMPTON, Va. (April 10, 2025) … The Hampton University men's lacrosse team will take to the road again this Saturday as the Pirates visit Towson University for a noon match at Johnny Unitas Stadium.
Hampton enters after a 17-1 loss at Drexel on April 5 as Canyon Steverson provided the lone tally on the day for Hampton (0-12, 0-4). He was on the receiving end of an AJ Knox feed 34 seconds into the fourth period to make the score 13-1.
Towson has won their last five matches and are coming in off a 13-12 double overtime win over Loyola (Md.) on Tuesday night. Owen Scott scored the tying goal in the final second of regulation and the game-winner with two minutes left in the second overtime.

LAST TIME VS. TOWSON

The Tigers defeated Hampton 25-2 on April 13, 2024 in Hampton as Xavier Salley off a feed from Sebastian West at the 10:30 mark of the opening period. Canyon Steverson scored a man-up goal with 11:42 remaining in the game.

ABOUT HAMPTON

Knox leads the team in goals scored with 10 and second in points with 12. Reed Shaw is second in goals with nine and third in points with 11. Steverson is third in goals with seven, followed by Jonathan Angel with six and West with five. West leads the team in assists with 10 and leads in points with 15.
In goal, Ben Kieu averages over 12 saves per game and ranks 15th nationally in saves per game.
