HAMPTON, Va. (Feb. 28, 2026) … The Hampton University men's tennis team fell to Longwood 4-2 Saturday afternoon. 

The Pirates earned the first point of the match in comeback fashion as Tshion Fedorov and Kohei Konishi broke the tie in doubles with a 6-4 victory to give Hampton the point. After falling in the first doubles match at the three spot, Rafael Padilha and Aryan Arora evened things out at one with a 6-4 victory. 

Fedorov continued the momentum for the Pirates, earning the first singles point of the match with a 6-3, 6-1 win. The Lancers quickly responded halting the Pirates and picked up wins in the next four singles matches to ultimately take Hampton down 4-2.
