HAMPTON, Va. (March 19, 2026) … CAA Football has honored 51 Hampton University football student-athletes as members of the Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll for the 2025 Fall semester. The total represents more than 54 percent of the Pirates 2025 football team.
Harold O'Neal and
Kendall Scotton were recognized with High Honors with Distinction honors after posting a 4.0 grade point average. In addition to his academic success, O'Neal was named third team All-CAA after amassing a team best 113 tackles during the 2025 campaign. Scotton, a running back, played his prep football at Cardinal Gibbons High I Raleigh, N.C.
A total of 11 player earned were honored with High Honors for posting a GPA of 3.7+. Earning Honors (3.0+ GPA) were 38 Hampton players.
The conference honors student-athletes for three different levels of achievement. Those with a 4.0 grade point average are recognized as High Honors with Distinction. Student-athletes with a GPA between 3.7 and 4.0 are recognized as High Honors. Student-athletes with a GPA between 3.0 and 3.7 are recognized as Honors. Student-athletes on the Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll must have attained a minimum grade point average of 3.0 during the designated academic term and been enrolled as a full-time student.
