HAMPTON, Va. (Mar. 24, 2026) ... The Hampton University men's tennis team dropped a match against North Carolina A&T Tuesday afternoon 2-5. 

The Aggies jumped out to the early lead when they took wins at the one and three doubles to earn the first point. The combination of Benedict Badza and Kohei Konishi earned Hampton's win at the two spot in doubles. 

Konishi continued his strong performance in single when he ripped off a 6-1, 6-1 win to start singles play at the three spot. Hampton then took a 2-1 lead when Aryan Arora took down his opponent 6-2, 7-6 (10-8). 

From there it was all Aggies as the won the final four singles matches to eventually down Hampton 5-2.

Hampton returns to action Wednesday Apr. 1 when they travel to Norfolk State. The match is set for 1:00 p.m.
