Hampton Football Game Times Set

HAMPTON, Va. (March 25, 2026) … Games times for Hampton University's 2026 Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) football schedule have been released, it was announced by Director of Athletics Anthony D. Henderson Sr.
 
Under new head coach Van Malone, the Pirates will open the 2026 campaign at Armstrong Stadium against Virginia University-Lynchburg at 6 pm on Aug. 29 in a non-conference clash. Home games versus Bryant (Sept. 12) and Campbell (Sept. 26) will also kickoff at 6 pm. The Oct. 26 Homecoming date with Monmouth is slated for 2 pm. Hampton's battle with longtime rival North Carolina A&T is scheduled for Nov. 14 at 1 pm.
 
Road game starting times include 12 pm at Sacred Heart on Oct. 17, 1 pm at Towson on Oct. 31, 2 pm at Elon on Nov. 7 and the season finale will kick off at 12 pm at Stony Brook on Nov. 21.
 
Games times have not been set for the Sept. 5 game at Maryland, the Sept. 19 date at Norfolk State and the Battle of the Real HU versus Howard at Washington, D.C.'s Audi Field on Oct. 3.
 
A proven builder of culture with 23 years of experience in the collegiate ranks --- 18 on the Power 4 level --- Coach Malone came to Hampton after seven seasons as assistant head coach, pass game coordinator and defensive backs coach at Kansas State.
 
During his tenure, the Wildcats posted a 53-34 (.609) record and earned five bowl invitations: the Liberty Bowl (2019), the Texas Bowl (2021), the Sugar Bowl (2022), the Pop-Tarts Bowl (2023) and the Rate Bowl (2024).
