HAMPTON, Va. (Mar. 30, 2026) … Anthony Bardonille, Jr. has been named CAA Rookie of the Week for the second time this season as announced by the league office this afternoon.
The freshman from Washington, D.C. scored a record tying six goals Saturday at Monmouth. He scored the Pirates first four goals of the game, before netting his final two in the fourth quarter. Saturday's game was the fifth time in nine games that Bardonille Jr. has scored three or more goals.
His seven points on the afternoon was tied for the most he has recorded in a game this season, and the six goals tied a Hampton record for goals scored in a single game with Elliot Johnson and Lonnie Jones, while breaking the record for most scored against a division I opponent.
Bardonille Jr. leads the team in goals (26) and assists (9) on the season. His 26 goals is tied for most in a single season by a Hampton player in program history.
This marks the second time this season Bardonille Jr. has received a weekly award, as he is the only Pirate in the history of Hampton's lacrosse program to garner a weekly conference award.
