HAMPTON, Va. (Mar. 5, 2026) … The Hampton University men's tennis team fell to visiting Campbell 4-3 Thursday afternoon.
Campbell earned the first point of the match when they took the doubles point in straight fashion at the one and two slots, but Hampton quickly responded. Aryan Arora earned a swift 6-2, 6-0 win in the four spot to even the score at one.
Rafael Padhila continued his strong spring, taking down Campbell's one 6-4, 6-4 to give Hampton the 2-1 advantage. Campbell then responded with wins at the two and six spot to regain the lead.
Kohei Konishi's match at line three went into a third set but he fell 3-6, 7-5, 6-0 to clinch the match for Campbell. Benedict Badza pulled a win at the five spot in dramatic fashion 7-5, 4-6, 10-4, for the final point of the contest.

The men's team will have off over the Pirates spring break, before returning to the courts Mar. 17 when they host Frostburg St. The match will be played at Virginia Wesleyan at 2:00 p.m.
