RICHMOND, Va. (Apr. 11, 2026) … Hampton's men's tennis team fell 6-1 on the road at Richmond Saturday afternoon. 

The Spiders earned the first point of the match when they won at the number one and three spot of doubles.


Richmond continued their strong start when they rattled off wins at the five, two, four, and three spots in singles. Rafael Padilha won Hampton's lone singles match in the one spot 4-6, 6-2, 10-5. This marks the ninth time this season Padilha has won a singles match posting an overall record of 9-4.
