ELON, N.C. (April 12, 2026) … Teagan Baulsir was 2-for-3 to lead homestanding Elon on Sunday as they defeated Hampton 8-0 in six innings to close out a CAA softball series on Sunday afternoon.

Chloe Hatzopoulos doubled in Jenna Klein and Baulsir followed with a single to score Hatzopoulos to put the hosts ahead 2-0 after one. They put up three in the second on an RBI single from Brooke Camacho, a fielder's choice from Jenna Klein and a sacrifice fly from Hatzoupoulos.

After a bases loaded walk to Greta Hessenthaler in the third pushed the lead to 6-0, the Phoenix got a pair of bases loaded walks to Christina Piotrowski and Lani Wyrick in the sixth to end the game via the run rule.

Hampton got a single from Myiah Sutton in the second and one from Riley Bohanon in the top of the third.

The Pirates will close out the home schedule on April 17-19 hosting Charleston in a three-game series. The opener will be Friday at 3 p.m.
