HAMPTON, Va. (April 14, 2026) … All of the action won't be on the field when Hampton University holds its annual Spring Football Showcase on April 18 and noon at Armstrong Stadium. Admission to the event is free to the public.
 
Fans will get their first chance to see the new-look Pirates in action. First-year head coach Van Malone, who spent the last seven years as the assistant head coach at Kansas State, has revamped the roster with no fewer than 32 newcomers. Seven starters from the 2025 squad return as do four on defense.
 
There will be plenty of activities off-the-field, as well. Food trucks will be on hand giving fans a number of eating options. A Cigar Bar will be open and, following the Spring Showcase, players will be available to sign autographs and mingle with fans.
 
Five home games are featured on the 2026 Pirate home schedule. The Pirates open the campaign Aug. 29 against Virginia University-Lynchburg. Hampton will host CAA foes Bryant Sept. 12 and Campbell on Sept. 26. The first three home games will kick off at 6 p.m. Hampton will celebrate Homecoming Oct. 24 the Pirates host Monmouth. In the final home game of the season Nov. 14, Hampton will take on longtime foe North Carolina A&T.

Season ticket reserved seating is available for $250 and general admission season tickets are priced at $150. Active military season tickets are $75 with identification and Hampton University Faculty/Staff season tickets are $70.
