HAMPTON, Va. (June 15, 2026) … Robert Mitchell and Morgan Pruitt participated in the yearly CAA Student-Athletic Advisory Committee Leadership Summit in Richmond, Va. June 11-13.
The summit consists of 25 student-athletes, representing all 13 CAA schools where they will participate in the sharing of ideas and concerns of the student-athlete experience.
Providing the keynote address on Thursday evening will be Alexis Hornbuckle, a two-time NCAA and WNBA champion who has transformed the lessons of the court into a proven playbook for leadership excellence. As a Mental Performance Strategist and founder of The E.L.I.T.E. Signature Program, she helps athletes, executives, and teams master the mindset required for consistent, high-level performance.
On Friday, the CAA student-athletes will volunteer at a sports and STEM camp for children at the Boys & Girls Club in Richmond. They will also film a public service announcement that will air on telecasts of CAA sporting events during the 2026-27 season.
Mitchell, a rising junior from Bowie, Md. has been apart of the Lacrosse team for two seasons. He is a multi-time CAA Dean's List honoree.
Pruitt has been apart of the women's track team for three seasons as a sprinter. She is majoring in Kinesiology.
CAA Commissioner Joe D'Antonio will address the group as part of their business session on Saturday morning.
