HAMPTON, Va. (June 25, 2026) … Third-year head coach
Tamisha Augustin announced the Hampton women's basketball recruiting class for 2026-27. This year's group consists of two freshmen and six transfers along with five returnees.
"I am extremely pleased with the 2027 recruiting class," Augustin said. "We targeted competitors and young women who have a relentless desire to win. This class brings toughness, rebounding, scoring ability, and depth to our roster while helping address key areas that we felt needed improvement. Most importantly, they share our vision for where Hampton Women's Basketball is headed. We're excited about what this group will bring to our program both now and in the future."
#2 Eghosa Obasuyi
Guard/5-4/Junior
Villa Rica, Ga./Carrollton HS/Georgia State
Transferred to Hampton after three years at Georgia State seeing action in 61 games. A speedy guard who can cause havoc on both ends of the court and will be a strong on-ball defender with a deep shooting range for the Pirates. She was among the team leaders last season, hitting 80% from the foul line and scored a season-best 12 against Marshall. In her first season, Obasuyi hit 38.8% from three-point range with a season-high 20 points hitting five triples against Sewanee. She also shined in the classroom earning Honor Roll honors each semester at Georgia State.
#3 Nilah Rivera
Guard/5-5/Freshman
Newark, N.J./ARTS High School
Averaged almost 18 points per game as a senior at ARTS High School leading her team to a New Jersey Group 1 State Championship. Added over five assists and four steals per game guiding them to a 27-4 record as a senior. She had 11 games over 20 points with a high of 30 points, eight games of seven or more assists and nine games of eight or more steals.
#10 Jeniya Bowers
Guard/5-8/Freshman
Columbus, Ohio/Africentric HS
Averaged over 21 points per game as a senior at Africentric Early College for a program that did not lose a conference game in her four years. She scored 25 or more points in a game 10 times as a senior, topped by 34 in a win in December 2025. A dynamic guard who was a key contributor to a pair of Ohio State Championships in her high school career.
#11 Maya Woodson
Forward/6-2/Senior
Columbia, Md./Hammond HS/Morgan State
Comes to the Pirates after two years at Morgan State. In 2025-26, she shared team high rebounding honors averaging 5.6 per game and added 4.4 points per game. Woodson hauled in a career-best 16 rebounds twice and scored a career high 10 points twice. In high school at Hammond High School, she ranked in the top 10 in the county in blocks, rebounds and scoring. Woodson will provide a seasoned presence in the paint for the Pirates in 26-27.
#22 Justus Fitzgerald
Forward/6-1/Sophomore
Roswell, Ga./Norcross HS/Syracuse
Joins the Pirates after playing last season at Syracuse. She will provide another post presence with Power 4 experience where she hit 50% from the floor and 71.4% from the foul line. Had five rebounds in college debut against Stony Brook and had four in a game twice. Fitzgerald attended Norcross High School where she was a Georgia Athletics Coaches Association 7A North All-State Team selection and also selected as the Region 7 7A Co-Player of the Year. She also played on the Adidas 33SB AAU circuit for Team Elite Hubbard and will bring toughness, rebounding, physicality and enthusiasm to the paint.
#23 Zoey Rixter
Guard/6-0/Sophomore
Memphis, Tenn./Bartlett HS/SE Missouri St.
Joins the Pirates after playing last season at Southeast Missouri State. A tall guard who is not afraid to go in the post and haul in key rebounds. Pulled in double figures in rebounds four times last year topped by 14 against UT-Martin (2/17). Recorded three steals in a game five times, including three straight games to close out the regular season. Rixter averaged 20 minutes per game as a freshman and will provide a toughness, a slasher and strong rebounding ability. Was a three-time All-District, two-time All-Region and an All-State selection at Barlett High School.
#24 Amiyah Donaldson
Guard/5-7/Graduate Student
Cleveland, Ohio/Maine
Heads to Hampton after playing at Maine in 2025-26. A steady point guard who will provide even more experience to a strong Pirates backcourt in 2026-27. Scored six points last season against Quinnipiac and had four rebounds in a game at Penn. After a year at Charleston (WV), moved on to Western Nebraska Community College where she helped lead the Cougars to a 25-7 season with 12 double-digit scoring performances including a career-high 23-point effort averaging 9.6 points, 1.8 assists, and 1.8 rebounds, while hitting 36.8% from three-point land before going to Maine.
#31 Kennedy Hall
Forward/6-3/Sophomore
Indian Head, Md./Westtown School/Boston College
Played in two games at Boston College before an injury sidelined her. A four-star recruit by ESPN, she averaged 18 points, eight rebounds and three assists per game for her high school career at Westtown School. Hall was named an Adidas All-American and helped lead her team to an Adidas national title and the 2023 Maryland 2A state crown. She was named Washington Post First-Team All-State, a Wooden Top-150 selection and scored over 1,000 points for her career. Played travel ball with FBC DMV in 2024, Elevate Elite in 2023 and Team Takeover from 2019-22.
