Women's Basketball Completes 2026-27 Coaching Staff

HAMPTON, Va. (June 4, 2026) … Hampton University head women's basketball coach Tamisha Augustin filled out her coaching staff recently with the hiring of Keyana Mattox as Director of Operations, Erhen Joseph as Video Coordinator and Nate Reid as Assistant Coach - Director of Women's Basketball Performance.

A member of last year's staff, Brooke Moore was also promoted to Assistant Coach – Recruiting Coordinator.

Keyana Mattox
Assistant Coach - Director of Operations

Keyana Mattox joined the Pirate staff in June 2026 after serving as Director of Operations at Bethune-Cookman.  As Director of Operations, she will oversee day-to-day operations, along with assistant coaching duties.

She joined Bethune-Cookman after serving as Head Girls' Varsity Basketball Coach at Trinity Christian Academy in Jacksonville, Florida. She spent one season at TCA, previously serving the 2023-24 campaign at UNC Wilmington as an assistant coach. In her time at UNCW, she assisted the Seahawks in organizing practices and games, as well as working individually with guards and post players. She also served as the director of all recruiting operations for the coaching staff, planning and executing summer camps, and being academic liaison to the athletic department on behalf of women's basketball.
 
A native of Williamsburg, Virginia, the stop in Wilmington was the second in Mattox's career, as she also spent the 2021-22 campaign as the Director of Operations for the Seahawks.
  
No stranger to the HBCU landscape, Mattox is a 2018 graduate of Virginia State. She has also had stops at Coppin State, Valdosta State and in the Maryland Athletic Media Relations Department. While at CSU, she was named one of 46 participants for the 2023 NCAA Basketball Coaches Academy held at the NCAA National Office in Indianapolis, Indiana.
 
In her playing career, Mattox was a three-year letterwinner at Old Dominion in Norfolk, Virginia, being named as a two-time team captain who helped lead her squad to a pair of winning seasons. She ranked third on the team in scoring with a 7.3 average during the 2015-16 season en route to receiving "Sixth Woman of the Year" accolades at the end of the year.

Mattox transferred to Virginia State for her senior season and helped the Trojans set a school record with a 15-0 start. She averaged 9.4 points per game, shot 41.9 percent from the field and paced the team with 18 blocked shots.

Erhen Joseph
Video Coordinator

Erhen Joseph joined the women's basketball staff in June 2026 to serve as the Video Coordinator. He comes to Hampton following a season as a graduate assistant at Florida International (FIU) on the men's basketball team.
While at FIU, he assisted coaches with on the court duties along with cutting video and creating scouting reports.
He also served two seasons as a student manager at FIU where he aided with administrative duties during practice, assisted in video work and performed traditional managerial duties.
Joseph has also worked with One Motive Sports in pre-draft workouts as well as a Sales Academy Representative with the Miami Heat.
He graduated from FIU with a Bachelor of Sports Management degree in 2025.

Nate Reid
Assistant Coach – Director of Women's Basketball Performance

Nate Reid will work exclusively with women's basketball this season joining the coaching staff as the Director of Women's Basketball Performance. This will be his third year with the team having been with the athletic department as Director of Sports Performance and worked with women's basketball.
Reid came to Hampton in May of 2024 after serving as a strength and conditioning specialist for Coach Kenny Payne's basketball team at Louisville for the 2023-24 season.
  
Having earned a bachelor of science degree in Exercise Science from Carroll in 2019, he was awarded his MBA from Carroll in 2021. In 2022, Reid received a master of science diploma in Sport Physiology and Performance Coaching also from Carroll.
 
He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association and is a USAW Certified Sports Performance Coach by USA Weightlifting.

Brooke Moore
Assistant Coach – Recruiting Coordinator

Now in her third year on the staff, Brooke Moore will take over the role of recruiting coordinator. She joined Coach Tamisha Augustin's staff in April of 2024 after spending one season as a graduate assistant at Ole Miss. A former high school standout, Moore spent two years at Auburn and two seasons at Purdue.
 
Mississippi head coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin described Moore as a future star in the business who provided an immediate positive impact when she added her to the Rebel's staff. Moore spent the 2023-24 season on the bench developing her basketball knowledge under the tutelage of McPhee-McCuin.

A five-star recruit from Henry County (Ga.) High, Moore was ranked the No. 11 guard by ESPN HoopGurlz. She averaged 22.3 points, 4.0 assistant, and 3.0 steals as a senior leading Henry County to the state championship game. She was named AAAA Player of the Year as a senior and was a three-time Atlanta Journal-Constitution Player of the Year while finishing as the school's all-time leading scorer with 2,215 points.
 
Playing at the highest levels, Moore played with Finest Basketball Club (FBC), one of the top grassroots programs in the country, under Coach Alfred "Mo" Motton. A native of Atlanta, Ga., Moore has been a great connector with many contacts and relationships throughout Atlanta and is involved in the local community.
 
Moore earned a bachelor's degree and a graduate program certificate in administration in athletics from Ole Miss.
