RICHMOND, Va. (July 2, 2026) … The Coastal Athletic Association announced its 2026 Outdoor Track and Field awards on Thursday and senior Brianna Charles completed a sweep by winning Women's Track Athlete of the Year.

Charles accounted for 24.5 points at the CAA Outdoor Championships in May by winning the 100 meters (11.54) and 200 meters in a personal best 23.10. She was a part of the winning 4x400 relay team at CAA's (3:38.94) and second in the 4x100 (44.79).

Charles also won the indoor award this year marking the first sweep of CAA awards for a Pirate on the track.
