Played in 31 games for the Lady Pirates, making 17 starts… started eight straight games to close out the season… averaged 7.7 points and a team-high 7.9 rebounds per game… ranked sixth in the MEAC in rebounding… shot 87-for-211 (.412) from the floor on the season… made seven of 30 3-pointers (23.3 percent)… hit 57 of her 82 free throws (69.5 percent)… scored in double figures 13 times… pulled down double-digit rebounds 12 times… had nine double-doubles on the season, including five in her last eight games… scored a career-high 19 points at Delaware State on Feb. 6… grabbed a career-high 17 rebounds twice: vs. Maryland Eastern Shore on Feb. 18 and at Florida A&M on Feb. 25… blocked a career-high five shots against Norfolk State on Jan. 21… had a career-high five steals at IPFW on Nov. 26… averaged 11.7 points and 10.7 rebounds per game in the MEAC Tournament… averaged 24.5 minutes per game… named MEAC Player of the Week on Feb. 27… named MEAC Defensive Player of the Week on Feb. 20.

2010-11 SOPHOMORE SEASON
Played in 27 games for the Lady Pirates, making four starts… averaged 4.4 points and 2.9 rebounds per game… shot 43.1 percent (47-for-109) from the floor on the season… made 10 of 17 3-pointers (41.7 percent)… shot 66.7 percent (14-for-21) from the free throw line… scored in double figures five times… scored a season-high 17 points against North Carolina Central on Feb. 7… pulled down a season-high 10 rebounds against Howard in the MEAC Tournament championship game on March 12… tied her season high in steals with three against Coppin State in the MEAC Tournament semifinals on March 11… averaged 10.0 points and 6.7 rebounds per game in the MEAC Tournament… went a career-best 3-for-5 from 3-point range against North Carolina Central on Feb. 7… averaged 11.6 minutes per game.

2009-10 FRESHMAN SEASON
Played in 24 games for the Lady Pirates, making two starts… started against Temple on Dec. 8 and at Old Dominion on Dec. 20… averaged 1.9 points and 1.8 rebounds per game… scored 45 points on the season on 17-for-46 (.370) shooting… pulled down 44 rebounds (27 offensive, 17 defensive) on the season… scored a season-high six points twice: at Old Dominion on Dec. 20 and against Florida A&M on Jan. 25… also pulled down a career-high eight rebounds at Old Dominion… hit her only 3-pointer of the season against Bethune-Cookman on Jan. 23… had a career-high three assists against Temple… also had a career-high three steals in that game.

INDIAN RIVER HIGH SCHOOL
Played varsity volleyball, basketball and tennis all four years at Indian River… won the Southeastern District regular-season and tournament championships as a freshman and senior… averaged 10 points and three rebounds as a freshman… named Most Improved in basketball as a sophomore after averaging 13 points and five rebounds a game… team MVP as a junior, averaging 17 points, 10 rebounds and four steals a game… also named Chesapeake All-City Player of the Year and Second Team All-Tidewater… averaged 18 points, 11 rebounds and four assists a game as senior… named All-Tidewater and All-Eastern Region.

Born Nov. 12, 1991… daughter of Cassandra and Joseph Avant… has one sister, Keshia (22)… sister Keshia attended Hampton University, as did cousins Cynthia Graves and Brandon Lee… featured in The Virginian-Pilot… majoring in business management… wants to become a German/Russian translator overseas.
