Played JV football as a freshman… performed on the indoor and outdoor track & field teams as a sophomore… made the varsity football team his junior year… returned to track as a senior, running a personal-best 22.4 in the 200-meter dash and 52.00 in the 400-meter dash… was named MVP and won Coaches Award… was on the state champion 4x200-meter relay team.
