Dylan D’Andrea, a native of Hampton Roads, joined the Hampton Pirates’ staff as their new Director of Broadcast Services in the summer of 2024.
 
Prior to joining Hampton Athletics, D’Andrea served in various video production roles for Synthesis Multimedia Productions, working nearly 100 live professional, collegiate, and high school productions. Notable events included three consecutive men’s and women’s Paradise Jam tournaments filmed between Washington D.C. and the U.S. Virgin Islands for ESPN3, and several iterations of USA Lacrosse’s annual Fall Classic.
 
As an intern for Synthesis Multimedia’s subsidiary, DMVStream.com, D’Andrea captured highlights and interviews from prominent high school football and basketball games in the greater Washington D.C. metro area for the Washington Post’s High School Sports Twitter feed. He also served as a student intern at The Pentagon in the Department of Defense’s public affairs office.

D’Andrea received his bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism and a minor in history from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2021. Along with his admission into Maryland, he was enrolled into the College Park Scholars living-learning program as a member of the Media, Self, and Society program, earning his College Park Scholars Citation in 2018.
 
D’Andrea is an Eagle Scout and Summit Award winner through the Boy Scouts of America and Venturing programs. He is a four-time run/walk volunteer and participant with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. D’Andrea resides in Virginia Beach with his daughter.
